Course Synopsis
Prisoners’ families suffer betrayal, shame, loss, and despair when a family member is incarcerated. Yet prisoners’ families are often expected to receive their incarcerated member back home without much support or understanding from their communities. This leads to tensions within the family structure. With the absence of a son/daughter, husband/wife, father/mother, many have a hard time adjusting to this major change. These courses help participants to compassionately support prisoners’ families, during the incarceration period in receiving their loved ones in prison.
