Prison Fellowship Singapore (PFS) is an inter-denominational fellowship of Christians that ministers to men and women in the prison system. Our ministry extends to their families before and during imprisonment, and upon release.

It was in 1952 that the late Rev Khoo Siaw Hua became the first Honorary Prison Chaplain responding to a call by the then Commissioner of Police for volunteer counselors for the prisons. In a terse statement of appeal, the Commissioner made a profound statement, "These prisoners fear neither men nor law, make them fear God." Some 20 Christian leaders responded and thus the Christian prison ministry was launched.

Today, PFS works with a network of churches, Christian organizations, halfway houses, employment agencies like SCORE, prison authorities and a pool of more than 800 volunteers. Internationally, we are one of the over 100 affiliated members of Prison Fellowship International (PFI).
